Greenhouse film Main functions

1. Light transmittance
The greenhouse film allows sunlight to pass through, providing the plants inside the greenhouse with the light needed for photosynthesis. The light transmittance of high-quality greenhouse film can reach about 90%, which enables the plants in the greenhouse to fully absorb light energy, convert carbon dioxide and water into organic matter, and promote the growth and development of plants.

2. Heat preservation
The greenhouse film can effectively prevent the heat in the greenhouse from radiating outward. It can reduce air convection and form a relatively closed space. This heat preservation effect is particularly important when growing off-season vegetables in winter. By maintaining the temperature in the greenhouse, the growth cycle of the plants is extended, allowing some vegetables that cannot grow in winter under natural conditions to grow normally.
3. Moisture retention
The greenhouse film can reduce the evaporation of water in the greenhouse and maintain air humidity. This moisture retention effect provides a relatively stable humidity environment for plant growth, which is conducive to the transpiration of plants and the absorption of water.
4. Pest control
The greenhouse film can serve as a physical barrier to reduce the chance of external pests entering the greenhouse. It is difficult for some insects to penetrate the greenhouse film, thereby reducing the probability of pests and diseases.
